The Arkansas Cherokee Nation is a tribe composed of descendants of the Cherokee that were in Arkansas during the early 1800's. As petitioner #315 with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Arkansas Cherokee Nation is striving for Federal Recognition.
We invite everyone to come and join us Labor Day weekend (September 5, 2009) for the 2nd Annual Arkansas Cherokee Nation Powwow at the Faulkner County Fairgrounds.
If anyone would like any further information or for a tribal membership application, please log on to our website at www.arkansascherokee.us.
Please feel free to stop by anytime regardless of it's just to visit with us or to ask questions.
